I am from southern Illinois and have been a season ticket holder for the NFR for 12 years and have been following you successful career. I thought you had finally found your sole mate in heeling in Corkill but noticed he going to start heading. Who will be your new heeler after the NFR?

Thanks for coming out today to star rodeo and helping the kids. Thank you for helping Jarrett with his delivery and swing. Hope you do put on a roping clinic as I will definitely be bringing him. Get well and get back to kicking some butt. Hope to see you in Vegas this year, it will be our first time.

Chad, what about taking head ropes off in the arena? I have always taken head ropes off in the arena because I always thought it made cattle learn to lead and didn't think it hurt anything, but I have started roping with people that always use the stripping chute. Of course there are exceptions that I think you should use a stripping chute such as a bunch of people roping or mulies. What are your thoughts? Thanks
Stuart Welch 3/14/11

Hey Chad My Name is chris and I have been heading for two and a half years. I was wondering if you had any tips on how to rope faster
Derrick Meylian 1/14/11
Thank you Chad for answering my quetion. I try to really focus on guiding my bottom strand to the back of the head when reaching. I just needed to know if I was headed in the right direction. It's the little things that make a huge difference in your roping.

Hey Chad, I wanted to say to you and Jade, thank you for making that 3.3 run this last year at the WNFR. It gives us upcoming ropers something to admire and realize that anything is possible if you want it bad enough. And thank you for being a good person and taking the time to talk to people. Take care and best of luck to you and Jade in this next years endeavor.
Greg Pena 5/19/10

I think you are right on with what you said about who you surround yourself with. I love my friends but they are content with roping the practice pen forever. I would like to thank you for the tips. I have met you on two differnt occasions, and both times you were so nice and down to earth. living in Stephenville i meet alot of my heroes, and that is refreshing. If you ever need any one to build fence or run the chute let me know.lol Cody Sullins

Joyce Schultz 1/7/10
Hi Chad! We attended the 2009 Cowboy Christmas in Las Vegas which is where we met you and got your autograph. We were just a bunch of gals from Chicago on a get-away and thought we'd do some shopping at the Cowboy Christmas show. Little did we know we were stepping into a whole new world. You were the first "star" we met and (sorry to say) didn't know who you were at the time. We had NO KNOWLEDGE of the rodeo prior to that trip but came away with a new found respect for cowboys/cowgirls and the rodeo. We found that cowboys are really great men!! Neat, kind, polite and treat their women, children and animals with respect. We want to thank you for opening my eyes and wish you all the best in the future. We'll be watching. Who knows, maybe we'll attend the next rodeo! But rest assure, we'll be following you and your success. All the best!
Joyce and friends

Hey Chad I just wanted to say that your tip of the month in November is awesome and inspiring. I met you at the Estancia Pro Am and You came up to me and shook my hand and it really made my day. I look to you and watch you and try to take a little from how you not only rope but conduct yourself in life. For a guy that is young and coming up i would really appreciate the advice and wisdom you could pass down. I want to be the best and I work very hard on my roping, horses, and relationship with God to reach that goal and I believe that talking to guys like you can give me a better outlook for the rest of my life as well as roping. Thanks Chad,
Justin Foster

Kristi Thomas 12/15/2009
Hello Chad. I was talking to G.T. tonight and he told me that you had set a new world record riding Handsome. I actually owned Handsome many years back. He was an awesome horse and I really enjoyed roping off of him except for when he took a bucking notion. He threw me twice and I decided he was way to powerful for me and that I may get hurt on him, so G.T. bought him back. When he was good he was GOOD, but when he was bad HE WAS BAD!!! Congrats on the record and think it is really cool that I have actually roped on that wonderful horse before. Good luck to you in the future.
Josh Creek 12/14/2009
Chad, Don't know if you remember me and my brother Jeremy, but we used to team rope at Greenville, Ky with you. Glad to see you doing what you're doing and congratulations on that new world record! That's just amazing! Just hearing about you has made me miss roping. All the best! -josh
